💡 Frequently Asked Question (FAQ)

Q. Can I register a free domain in Naver Webmaster Tools?

Yes. You can also register a free domain.

Free domain example: ~.creatorlink.net

However, Webmaster Tools registration is available only for sites on the Basic plan or higher.

Q. Ownership verification is not completed.

If an error occurs during the ownership verification process, there are usually three main causes. Please check the items below.

1. Ownership verification was attempted before the domain was properly connected

Examples: domain forwarding is enabled, name servers have not been changed, etc.

→ After connecting an external domain such as .com or .co.kr, please wait 2 business days before registering the site in Webmaster Tools.

2. The verification value was not copied correctly

→ From the HTML meta tag, copy only the value inside content="".

Example:

If the meta tag contains content="abc123", copy only abc123.

3. “Block Search Engines” is enabled

→ Go to Creatorlink Admin Page > Marketing > Block Search Engines and make sure the setting is turned OFF.

Please check the detailed instructions here.

Q. I can’t submit the sitemap.

When submitting the sitemap, make sure the site URL entered in the sitemap URL field matches the site address you actually registered.

Also, check that /user-sitemap has been entered correctly.

Q. Can I check whether my site has been registered properly?

Yes. If your page or site appears when you search site:your-site-address in Naver, it means the page has been indexed by Naver.

However, being indexed does not guarantee that your site will appear in search results. Indexing simply means that Naver has recognized your page. Actual search exposure depends on factors such as content quality and keyword relevance.

Q. Do I need to submit RSS as well?

No. RSS submission is optional. It is mainly used for sites with frequently updated content, such as blogs, to help notify search engines of new posts more quickly.

Submitting the sitemap properly is usually enough.
