# Submitting websites to Daum webmaster tools

* Before issuing a PIN code, please register your website on **Daum Search Registration** first.

### Daum Webmaster Tools Setup Steps

1\. Go to [Daum Search Registration.](https://register.search.daum.net/index.daum)

2. Click the **\[Register New Site]** button.
3. Under Search Registration, select **\[Site Search]** and enter your website URL accurately without **https\://**. (If you are using a Korean domain, please convert it to Punycode before registering.)
4. Agree to the collection and use of personal information and the Terms of Service, then click Confirm.
5. On the new registration screen, enter the required information accurately.

* **Title**: Enter the site name that will be displayed in Daum search results.
* **URL**: Make sure your site URL is entered correctly.
* **Description**: Enter the site description that will be displayed in Daum search results.
* **Description – Items**: Enter the types of products you sell. If you do not sell products, enter keywords that describe the main topic of your site.
* **KakaoTalk Channel URL**: Enter this if you have a KakaoTalk Channel. Adding it allows search users to send you messages.
* **Directory**: Select the category that best matches your site.
* **Applicant Information**: Enter the applicant’s name and email address so you can receive the registration review result.

### How to verify site ownership

1\. Go to [Daum Webmaster tools](http://webmaster.daum.net/) and click the **Get a PIN code.**

2\. Enter your **site URL** and **PIN code.**

**The PIN code** works as your password.

You create it when registering your website in Webmaster Tools for the first time.

It is also used for the final verification step and when accessing the site detail page.

3\. Check on **the agree to Terms and Conditions.**

4\. Click the **Copy to the clipboard** to copy **the Authentication key.**

5\. Go to the **Creatorlink** > **Marketing** > **For Search Engines > and** Click **Register Daum Webmaster Tools.**

6\. Paste the **Authentication key** on the Daum Webmaster Tools and click the **Check (OK)** button.

7\. Go back to the **Daum webmaster tools** and click the **Start verification** button.

8\. Enter your **site URL, PIN code** and then click the **Verify** button to confirm your site.

### How to submit a sitemap (Register Collect Seed URL)

Creatorlink automatically provides a sitemap URL for your site.

Simply **submit the provided sitemap URL** to Daum Webmaster Tools.

Your sitemap URL is: your **website address/user-sitemap.** Please check the screen below.

Creatorlink Admin Page > Marketing > Sitemap URL > your **website address/user-sitemap**

1. Go to [Daum Webmaster Tools](https://webmaster.daum.net/login) and log in with your registered site URL and PIN code.
2. Click the \[Collection Request] menu.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and go to the **Register Collect Seed URL section.**
4. Enter **"/user-sitemap"** after the domain registered in Webmaster Tools to register your sitemap.

If your site is registered in Webmaster Tools as:

`https://supportcenter2.creatorlink.net`

Submit the sitemap as:

`https://supportcenter2.creatorlink.net/user-sitemap`

5. Click the **Request Collection** **button** to complete sitemap submission.

**NOTICE**

* It might take a maximum of **14 days** to get your site from the Daum search result.
* By search with **site: URL**, you can check whether your site is indexed or not indexed by the Daum search engine.
* Edit the meta tag or add webmaster tools on your site are **premium features.**

  So, if your plan has changed to the **free plan**, **some of the meta tags are replaced with the default text** and **webmaster tools are disabled**.

  But when you upgrade to the **premium plan again**, it will **restore** your data, and **able to use the webmaster tools.**
* Site ownership verification **does not guarantee top placement** in search results. **Rankings may drop** or your site may be **excluded from search results** depending on each search engine’s policies and algorithm updates.
* If you have more questions about the webmaster tools or about searching on Daum, please **ask via Daum customer center.**
