# Sender Email (SMTP) Settings

> **What is SMTP?**
>
> **SMTP** stands for *Simple Mail Transfer Protocol*. Simply put, it is like a **digital mail carrier** that delivers letters written in your app to the rest of the world. Think of it as the "Sending Service."
>
> While **IMAP/POP3** are responsible for **receiving** mail, **SMTP** is exclusively responsible for **sending** it.
>
> * **Why is this setting necessary?** If the SMTP settings are incorrect, you might be able to read incoming emails, but you will encounter errors when trying to "Send" a new email or reply.

You can freely set your sender email address by choosing between Google, Naver, Daum, or setting it up manually. This allows you to receive notifications for forum inquiries, comments, consultation requests, and form submissions left by customers.

To set this up, go to **Block Edit Mode** → **Block Settings** → **Email Notification Settings.**

> Note: Set different sender emails for each specific block, including Contact, Forum, Gallery, and Form blocks.

1. **Email Platform** \
   You can link your desired email address from Google, Naver, Daum, or other mail services.
2. **Sender Name** \
   Customize how your name appears to recipients.
3. **Sender Email Address**\
   The email address from your selected email platform (Google, Naver, Daum or Custom Setup) that will appear to recipients.
4. **App Password**\
   The specific app password required to link the email platform. Log in to your selected email provider, generate an "App Password," then copy and paste it here.
5. **Save** \
   Once you have completed the required fields (1\~4), click the Save button to activate.
